Stephen Donald (Don) Bundy

Stephen Donald (Don) Bundy, 96, passed away at his home at Story Point Powell North on Monday, May 20, 2024. Don was born in Pittsburgh, PA and resided in the Columbus, Ohio area since 1976. Don was married to Joan Catherine Geiger on June 13, 1953. Don was a devoted husband for 67 years prior to Joan’s death on February 19, 2020. He is survived by his children Todd (Nancy) Bundy of North Canton, OH; Tim (Vickie) Bundy of Sebastian, FL; Joy Bundy of Lewis Center, OH and Tracie (David) Quinn of Worthington, OH and grandchildren William and Amy Bowes, Michael and Lauren Bundy, Anne and Greyson Morrow, Rachel and Zachary Harris, Katie and Nick Wolanczyk and Ryan Quinn, as well as eight great grandchildren. Don is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Tom and Jo Bundy. Don was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Joan and Frank Leonhart, sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Lorraine and Marvin Francis and Robert Freund and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jack and Ruth Ann Geiger. After two stints serving his country in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1946-1948 and 1950-1951, Don graduated from Penn State and then enjoyed a successful and fulfilling career in human resources with the Nationwide Insurance Company for 32 years in various regional offices. During his life, Don enjoyed spending time with family and friends, particularly his many nieces and nephews. Don and Joan went on many trips, cruises and beach vacations where they shared the beauty of many sunrises and sunsets. Some of their best memories came from when they traveled to various countries in Europe and spent their winters in Florida. A celebration of Don’s life will take place on Friday, June 14th at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 10700 Liberty Road, Powell, OH 43065. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church and a Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11:00 am. Inurement will follow for family at Resurrection Cemetery in Lewis Center, Ohio. His family would like to thank all the dedicated nurses and aides from Story Point Powell North and Gentiva Hospice who provided Don with compassionate care during the past few years.
