Orpha M. Simmons

Simmons, Orpha M., age 78 of Worthington, Ohio passed away on September 30, 2014 at the Laurels of Worthington. She is retired from The Ohio State University, Department of Research. Orpha endured more than three years with the dreadful Lewy Body Dementia. At the end she was crippled in legs and arms and had serious Osteomyelitis. Luddy (sister) of Lexington, KY; Argiro Williams (sister in-law) of Miamisburg, OH; Jane Simmons (sister in-law) of Dayton, OH; Bill Simmons (brother in-law) of Austin, TX; Anne King (niece) of Miamisburg, OH; Curtis Williams (nephew) of Tipp City, OH; Diane Ingles (niece) of Miamisburg, Ohio; Lt. Col. Mary Luddy, US Army Retired (niece) of Lexington, KY; Mark Derham (nephew in-law) of Columbus, OH; Leslie Bistrek (niece in-law) of Beavercreek, OH; Kelly Maine (niece in-law) of Dayton, OH; Charles Barlow (nephew in-law) of Dayton, OH; Jeff Barlow (nephew in-law) of Hamilton, OH; Dan Barlow (nephew in-law) of Dayton, OH; Lorie Atkinson (niece in-law) of Elgin, TX; Matt Simmons (nephew in-law) of Renton, Washington; and Jenny Henderson (niece in-law) of Mission Viejo, CA. Orpha is a graduate of Kaiser High School, class of 1954; a member of Worthington United Methodist Church; and a member of Lambda Tau Sigma fraternity of Sinclair College. Memorial Service is to be held on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the Worthington United Methodist Church, 600 High St, Worthington, OH 43085. Family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Pastor Cyndy Garn will be officiating the service.
