Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Omari

Muhammad Ibrahim (Abe) Al-Omari, 27, died on February 19, 2018. Abe was born on August 23, 1990, in Columbus Ohio. He went to Olentangy Local Schools and was a graduate of Liberty High School. He attended classes at both Otterbein and Franklin Universities. Abe was liked by everyone he met. He was quick with his infectious smile that could instantly warm your heart. His wittiness could keep you laughing nonstop. He had a kind soul and compassionate heart, free of judgement. Abe may have been the least materialistic person any of us knew, instead valuing the beauty of the people and world around him. He was a man who was content in his world. Abe loved having a groovy time. He was an avid reader, film fanatic, comedy junkie, loved music whether it be live in concert, recorded, and most recently on his new turntable. He enjoyed creating and viewing art which is event by the amazing drawings he shared on social media and his photos from a recent visit to the Andy Warhol. He was very philosophical and many people benefited from his empathy and nonjudgmental advice. He was a patient listener. He was spiritual, peaceful and lived life to the fullest. If you asked Abe to try something new he would always be down with it. In keeping with his sense of adventure, go out, try something new, and take Abe along in your heart. Finally, Abe was fiercely loved by his dad, mom and brother. The tremendous empty space he has left behind is being filled with love and the beautiful insight his friends and family have given in his memory. Abe is survived by his father, Omar Al-Omari, mother, Shirley Skinn (Dave Stuthard), brother, Zak Al-Omari, aunts Amal (Dawud) Al-Omari, Intisar Al-Omari and Mary Ann (Jeff) Hipp and uncles Phil (Rita) Skinn, Don (Carol) Skinn, Larry (Cindy) Skinn, and Neil Skinn (Vicky), numerous cousins here and abroad as well as countless friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Muhammad and Latifah Al-Omari and James and Charlotte Skinn, uncles Ahmed Al-Omari, Hosam Al-Omari, and Fred Skinn, and aunt Nowal Al-Omari. Refer to social media for information on private visitation. Funeral services* will be Friday, February 23, beginning at 12:00 pm at Noor Islamic Cultural Center, 5001 Wilcox Rd., Dublin, OH 43016. Burial** will follow at Islamic Cemetery of Columbus, 3880 Sunbury Rd., Columbus, OH 43219. After interment services, friends and family will gather at 818 Riverbend Ave., Powell, OH 43065. *All are welcome but please respect cultural and religious protocol. Conservative dress for Islamic services is required. This will include modest dress that covers arms and legs. Females will need a scarf/shawl to cover their hair. All guests entering prayer service area will be required to take off their shoes. **Graveside protocol requires the suppression of emotional display. A memorial fund is being established in lieu of flowers. A Go Fund Me Page has been established or checks can be made out and sent to either parent for the purpose of supporting the work of Habitat for Humanity in Jordan.
