Linda Zeigler

Linda Zeigler, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, while sleeping peacefully at her place of residence in Westerville, Ohio. She was born on January 25, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio, and graduated from Saint Francis DeSales High School in 1966. She attended OSU after graduation, where she majored in English and met the love of her life, William Zeigler, who preceded her in death in December of 1983. She loved to tell the story of how they met in Speech class, and she immediately knew that this was the man she was going to marry. They moved to California where they bought their first house in San Jose, and later had their daughter, Melanie. In 1975, they moved to Tempe, AZ, where they loved to host parties by their backyard pool, until Bill’s death. After moving back to her hometown of Columbus in 1984, Linda had a long career in the financial world, where she worked for Nationwide Financial until her retirement. Linda enjoyed reading and was never without a book. She loved spending time with her friends and family, enjoyed cooking and entertaining, loved to be surrounded by beautiful things, and never met an animal she didn’t want to adopt. Linda was a real treasure. She is survived by her only daughter, Melanie (Sam Sahlin); grandchildren April Walker (Brad), Chris Dickman, and Courtney Dickman; great-grandchildren Gabe, Jack, and Eloise Walker; sister Sally Gallagher (Bill); many nieces and nephews; and many beloved family members and friends. Her family will receive friends on Monday, Dec 5, 2022, from 5:30-8P.M., at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 N. High St, Worthington, OH. Memorial Mass 11:00 A.M Tuesday, Dec 6, 2022, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road (at Reed Road), Upper Arlington.
