Jeffrey William Richardson, 69, passed away on February 5, 2026. Born on May 31, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio, Jeff lived a life rooted in family, heritage, and quiet strength. A 1974 graduate of Northland High School in Columbus, Jeff began working at Richardson Supply during his teenage years, a business founded by his father. It became a source of pride and purpose, and he dedicated his career to the company until his retirement, working alongside his sister and son while honoring the family legacy with loyalty and quiet devotion. Jeff was a man of many talents and passions. He had a love for motorcycles, found joy in riding & Bike Nights with his friends. A natural builder with an affinity for tools, guns and cars. Jeff enjoyed creating and fixing things with his hands. Whether it was tinkering in the garage or taking on a new project. Those who knew Jeff will remember him as a good man with a dry, playful sense of humor and a personality that was both endearing and unmistakable. Beneath that exterior was a gentle heart — kind, generous, and always ready to lend a hand. His quiet humor brought smiles to many faces, and his steady presence offered comfort and strength to those around him. He is survived by his son, Cody (Jamie), and grandson Jayce; and his daughter, Amber (Stephen). He also leaves behind his sisters, Sandra Allemang, Becky Yoho, and Sherri Fisher (Jack); and his brother, Chris. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, all whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sher; his father, Orland; his mother, Bertha; and his sister, Jodie Lee. Visitation will be held at Rutherford Funeral Home Thursday, February 12, at 2:00 to 4:00. A funeral service will follow on Friday February 13, at 11:00 also at Rutherford Funeral Home 450 W Olentangy St, Powell, Ohio 43065. Interment will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park in Lewis Center. Jeff’s memory will live on through the lives he touched with his generosity, humor, and unwavering love for family. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delaware County Humane Society, in honor of Jeff’s life and love of animals.
