Eleanor R. Quelette

Eleanor Roush Quelette, affectionately known as Ellie, passed away peacefully in her home at Worthington Christian Village, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 3, 2009 in her 91st year. She was a devoted wife, mother, nana & great grandmother – her family was the joy of her life. Ellie was a devout Christian who spent many hours studying the Bible & praying. One of her favorite verses was John 3:16. She loved to share the gospel & rarely neglected the opportunity to witness for her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived a life wrapped in the love of Jesus & her family cherishes the memories of her faithful love for all. She believed that at death, the physical body returns to dust & her soul would be welcomed into heaven. Ellie was born in Middleport, Ohio, December 13, 1918. She fought the brave battle against the ravages of TB, since age 18. She is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard Quelette. She is survived by two adoring daughters & sons-in-law, Andi & Pete Riddell & Amy & Gary Yost, five grandchildren; Richard Fleeman, Amber (Allen) Aimar, Jessica (Joe) Hodson, Andrew Riddell, Jennifer (Tony) Frabott & one great-grandchild, Alexander Aimar; sister, June Ury; & many special nieces, nephews & friends. She was a long & faithful member of Linworth United Methodist Church where she served as a choir member, Bible School & Sunday School teacher & Financial Trustee. She was a teacher at Bliss College, worked & met her husband at the IRS, volunteered many years at Riverside Methodist Hospital, worked at Beightler Armory, Kelly Services & Gardner Realty. She was an avid card & game player. She adored her family & rarely missed an activity of her children or grandchildren. The family would like to express a special note of gratitude for the kind & compassionate care from the nurses, aides & staff on the 6th floor at WCV. Memories of her steadfast love will be forever a legacy in those who knew her. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to Worthington Christian Village, 165 Highbluffs Blvd, Columbus, OH 43235. Family will receive friends at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St, Worthington on Wednesday, May 6, from 7-9pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held at WCV on Thursday, May 7, at 10am. Internment at Kingwood Memorial following service.
