Dorothy Susanne Jackson

Dorothy Susanne Jackson, 90, of Powell, Ohio went to be with the Lord March 21, 2024 at her home in Powell, Ohio. She was born on August 29, 1933, to Cloe Russell and Dorothy Russell in Prospect, Ohio. Sue was married to her husband of 52 years, Ronald “Ronnie” Jackson. Together they owned and managed Shady Side Farms of Powell, Ohio. They were nationally known as breeders of purebred swine and standardbred racehorses as well as grain farming. Sue was a member of Hyatts United Methodist Church, George Lewis Behrens Chapter #504 Eastern Star, Garden Club, and Advisor of the Liberty Belles 4-H Club. She was an avid reader and later in life enjoyed spending afternoons listening to her audio books. Her relentless and unwavering positivity shined a light on this world. She was an angel that blessed so many people. Her compassion and love as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend has made a permanent imprint on all those that knew her. She truly made everything and everyone better when she was around. Sue is survived by her three children, Teresa (David) Shellhouse, Thomas (Christine) Jackson and Tami (Brent) Porteus; her six grandchildren, Eric Shellhouse, Elizabeth (Travis) Carmical, Emily (Ryan) Spitzer, Charles (Sarah) Bauslaugh, Corey (Whitney) Bauslaugh and Daniel (Brianna) Bauslaugh; and her nine great-grandchildren.
