Dolores Lee Goetz

Dolores Lee Goetz, age 87, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on July 17, 2023, in Ohio Health Hospice Care in Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born on June 18, 1936, to Leo and Mildred Wolf in Pittsburgh, PA. She married Richard (Dick) on November 29, 1958, and lived most of her family life in Worthington, Ohio, retiring to Friendship Village of Dublin in 2013. Dolores was a loving wife and mother, and a talented artist, seamstress and craftsperson, who readily shared her talents with family, friends, and the community. Dolores was a dependable volunteer and enjoyed her service with the Worthington Historical Society as a board member, gift shop volunteer, and Orange Johnson House docent. She and a good walking buddy regularly collected recyclables in exchange for funds to provide sandwiches for the clients of The St. Michael Conference of St. Vincent de Paul. She loved to craft gifts for family and friends and donated crafted items to St. Michael’s Women’s Club and PTA, and Friendship Village’s seasonal craft sales and service projects. Dolores was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Mildred Wolf, and older sister, Donna Wolf. She is survived by her husband of 64+ years, Richard Goetz, and brother, Paul (Susan) Wolf; daughters Therese (Robert) Coon, Regina Goetz, and Karen (John) Butchko; son Bruce (Cindy) Goetz; grandchildren Sarah (Ernst) Andersen, Ben (Briana) Coen, and Thomas, Daniel, and Anna Lee Butchko. The family is grateful for the care of Dolores and her family these past months by the Alderwood Staff of Friendship Village of Dublin and Ohio Health Hospice at Riverside Hospital. Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 9AM-10AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at St. Michael’s Church in Worthington, OH. Inurnment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Lewis Center, OH.
