Dennis J. Roma

Dennis J. Roma, age 52, of Dublin, Oh., passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Oh. Born in Cincinnati, Oh., Dennis graduated from Bishop McNicholas High School, Class of 1970. He was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and attained his Masters, Business Administration from East Tennessee State University. Hired at a job fair interview while at UC, Dennis worked his entire 30+ year career at Parker Hannifin Corp. His job took Dennis and his family to Lexington, Ky., Spartanburg, S.C., Modesto, Calif., Johnson City, Tenn. and then to Marysville, Oh. in 2005 where he was named Division Controller. A faithful member of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, Dennis was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Brigid Council and was recently installed as Deputy Grand Knight. Dennis coached his three daughters in their many athletic teams and belonged to many professional organizations. A gifted athlete and avid golfer, he loved to play golf in the St. Brigid Men's Golf League. Dennis is preceded in death by his grandparents Angelina and Patrick Roma and Gertrude and Albert Stricker. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Joanie Roma; daughters, Kimberly Roma of Knoxville, Tenn., Jessica Roma of Columbus and Michelle Roma of Dublin; parents, Tony and Jackie Roma; brother, Mike (Debbie) Roma; sisters, Linda (Tom) Fucito, Cheryl Klug and Angie (Keith) Stevlingson, all of Cincinnati; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family will receive friends Sunday at St. Brigid of Kildare Church, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, Oh. 43017. Reception of the Body Prayer Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday with visitation following from 3-7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2009 with The Reverend Monsignor Joseph M. Hendricks, Celebrant. Private burial service will be observed by the family.
