Barbara Bohn Jerman

Barbara Bohn Jerman of Upper Arlington, Ohio was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She passed away on May 21, 2026 at the age of 87. She was proceeded in death only 3 months prior by her adored husband of 68 years, Luther Stephen Jerman. Barbara was born on June 9, 1938 to late George Emmett Bohn and Florence May Bohn of Worthington, Ohio. She is also proceeded in death by her brother Roger Bohn. She is leaving behind her beloved daughter, Tracy (Tom) Ensign, her son Mark (Debbie) Jerman; her grandchildren Justin (Megan) Ensign, Jordan (Darrell) Honaker, Taylor Jerman, Jason Jerman and four great grandchildren. Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, passion and strength that will continue to live on through all who knew her. Her family was the center of her world and she loved them fiercely with all her heart. Her 68 year marriage to her beloved husband Steve was a great testimony of a life well lived as they were truly partners in everything. Wherever you found Barbara there was Steve and vice versa. Barbara had the wonderful gift of hospitality that she freely showered on others. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved most, creating memories on her infamous screened-in porch or around her dining room table filled with laughter, timeless stories and love. Known for her sass, quick wit and strong spirit, Barbara had a personality that could never be forgotten. She was funny, passionate and never afraid to speak her mind. Her strength carried her through life's challenges and inspired those around her. She had a way of making people laugh, feel welcomed, and know exactly where they stood -one of the many reasons she was so deeply loved. Barbara was a lifelong Buckeye fan and cheering them on with family and friends was a special tradition. She was a proud Ohioan, which she wore as a badge of honor, as well as an active community member. Though her family's hearts are heavy with grief they are grateful for her 87 years. Her unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten and her memory will live in the stories told around her family's tables for generations to come. Visitation will be Sunday June 28, 2026 from 1:00-3:00 pm with a Memorial Service immediately following at 3:00 at Rutherford Funeral Home, 515 High Street Worthington, Ohio 43085. A private Burial Service for the family to be held on Monday, June 29, 2026.
