Verna Logan

July 31, 1947 - March 23, 2022

Verna Louise (Rison) Logan went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on March 23, 2022, at the age of 74, at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on July 31, 1947, in Firebrick, Kentucky, to Kelly Rison and Mary Elizabeth (Fox) Rison. She is survived by her children, Marcella Jo Ellen (Logan) Keeton [Timothy] Chillicothe, Ohio, Paul Wesley Logan Jr. [Kathy] of Columbus, Ohio, Anita Lynn (Logan) Johnson [John] of Canton, Georgia, and Victoria Ashley (Logan) Reed [Dave] of Kettering, Ohio. Ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her best friend since childhood, Marcella Maisenbacher, and her siblings, Helen Nelson, Letitia Reedy, Bertha Duncan, Betty Zirkle, and Mary West. Preceded in death by her parents Kelly Rison and Mary Elizabeth (Fox) Rison, and sibling Gene Rison. Verna loved Jesus with all her heart and found immense joy in sharing her faith with everyone she met. Her favorite pastime was having her family together with her. She found the greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren. Some of her favorite hobbies were to watch old movies or anything about animals, listen to Jimmy Swaggart sing or preach, travel, work on puzzles, and she loved to sew and make things for her loved ones. She enjoyed the sunny color of yellow, flowers, birds, deer, and sitting on a porch drinking coffee with a friend or family member. She will be missed by many but we are all very thankful to know that she is out of pain, and where she always longed to be – sitting at the feet of Jesus. Verna’s wishes were to be remembered as you knew her so there will not be a funeral or viewing.
