Nancy Louise Ramirez

August 22, 1940 - March 23, 2022

Nancy Louise Ramirez, 81, of Columbus, Ohio passed away with her five children and granddaughter (Rebecca) by her side. Nancy was born August 22, 1940, in Johnstown, PA to Alfred and Julia Patton where she grew up with her younger sister Cecelia Battin. Her most valued memories growing up were with her sister, aunts, and many cousins. She was a graduate of Johnstown High School, in Johnstown PA. Nancy was passionate about her faith, family, Italian heritage, music, and all things cats (Buttercup, Pumpkin, and Mimi). She was preceded in death by first husband, Ruben Ramirez and second husband Raymond Gebert and survived by children, Anthony S Ramirez (Lori) child Anthony. Vincent M Ramirez (Doreen) children Alexander and Nicholas. David J Ramirez (Colleen) children Nicole, Dominic, and Anna. Tanya R Meacham (Tony) Children Rebecca, Andrew, and Julia. John A Ramirez (Janet) children Leanna and Julian, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great grandchildren. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and dedicated choir member. She spent much of her life in the mortgage/title business. On a typical day, you could find Nancy sitting on her couch with her cat on her lap and a codeword puzzle in hand. She would always have classical piano playing in the background while singing and moving her hands as if orchestrating her own choir. Nancy would start every day with a cup of chai, and don't you dare call it chai tea because chai IS tea in two different languages. Nancy embodied fully what it meant to be a follower of Jesus. Every person she met was a friend. She will be forever missed, but eternally loved. A visitation will take place on Thursday March 31st from 5 PM to 8 PM with a prayer vigil taking place at 7:30 PM at the Rutherford Corbin Funeral Home 515 High Street Worthington, Ohio 43085. A funeral mass will take place on Friday April 1st, 2022, at 1 PM at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church 20 East Dominion Blvd, Columbus, OH 43214 with Father Sean Dooley officiating. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Angels Assisting Felines (AAF) 15042 Township Rd 403, Thornville, OH 43076.
