Margaret M Beehler (nee Maple) 1923-2021 passed peacefully on November 28, 2021 at the age of 98. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years James E. “Jim” Beehler, her sister Juliana Petro, her brother William (Bonita) Maple, and Jim’s sister Marilyn (Herman) Bullard. She is survived by her brother Charles (Barbara) Maple and her three children, Bruce (Leann) Beehler, Brent Beehler, and Beth (Mark) Hoersten. Five grandchildren, Adam Beehler, Brendan Beehler, Luke (Alyssa) Hoersten, Bradley (Gina) Hoersten, and Jenna Hoersten and two great granddaughters, Ariana Hoersten and Amelia Hoersten. Also eight nephews, six nieces and their families. Margaret was born in Howard County, Indiana to Clifford and Edna (Shenk) Maple. She graduated from Indiana University and worked in administration at the University of Alabama, Purdue University (where she met Jim), and Rutgers University. She was an active member of Worthington United Methodist Church, the Worthington Women’s Club, and many community organizations. She loved her family and friends, helping others, traveling, gardening, entertaining, volunteering and playing bridge. Margaret lived at Westerwood (previously called Friendship Village) in Columbus, OH for the past 19 years. Prior to that, she lived in Worthington, OH for 21 years and North Plainfield, NJ for 23 years. We plan to have a celebration of Margaret’s life sometime in mid-2022.
