Marcia Ann (Bauder) Rush

March 7, 1948 - April 23, 2022

Marcia Ann (Bauder) Rush was born March 7, 1948 in Columbus, OH and passed away on April 23, 2022. She is survived by her son Mike (Melissa), her twin daughters Melissa (Jeff) Leichman and Melanie (David) Stacy as well as her 4 grandchildren Jordan (Jimmy) Coyne, Taylor Rush, Garrett Stacy and Carter Leichman. She was expecting her first great grandchild in the fall. She is also survived by her lifelong friend Jeanne (Tom) Ross. She was preceded in death by her husband Mark, her father L. Ward Bauder, her mother Alice (Schmehl), step-mother Mary (Parker), and her brother Richard. Marcia was a lifelong resident of Liberty Township in Delaware Ohio. She was a graduate of both Olentangy High School (1966) and the Ohio State School of Cosmetology. She met her husband Mark soon after graduation and they co-founded M&M Head Service in Delaware, OH. She also served as the Fiscal Officer of Liberty Township, from which she retired in 2008. She was active in the local Pocahontas Lodge in Hyatts as well. She loved to play cards with friends and travel with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed Sudoku puzzles, baking, and date night with her grandkids. Her family would like to thank the staff at Kobacker House Hospice for taking exceptional care of her in her final days. The family will be receiving friends at Rutherford Funeral Home (Powell) Thursday April 28 from 4-8 pm. Funeral service will be Friday April 29 at 11 am with visitation 1 hour prior. She will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware, OH with a brief graveside service.
