Lloyd Selby II

June 8, 1946 - January 18, 2022

Lloyd Selby II, age 75, of Westerville, OH, died on January 18,2022 at St. Ann’s Hospital, Westerville, from complications of Covid 19 pneumonia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army; wartime service Vietnam 1968-69. Lloyd is preceded in death by Charles W. Selby, father, and Roberta R. Selby, mother. He is survived by his wife Marivic Selby, son Jerry Selby, daughter Kelly Selby, daughter-in-love Marshal Fox, grandson Vengeance Fox, all of Columbus, OH, and by brothers Rick Selby (Carol) of Sun City Center, FL and Rob Selby (Lory) of Hoschton, GA. Lloyd was a graduate of: Fairfield HS, Fairfield, NE, 1964; attended 2 years at Cincinnati Bible Seminary and Lincoln Christian College. Lloyd was a kind, loving man. He was dedicated to the Lord and His kingdom, and to loving his wife, children and grandchildren, brothers and extended family. He loved and honored his parents,and took great care to be close by and meet their needs as much as he could in their final years. After completing his U.S. Army tour of duty, Lloyd made his way in business in Houston, TX for 10 years. In 1979, he sold his home and began his 30-year ministry with Philippine Mission Churches of Christ of Northern Luzon (PMCCNL), an extensive multiple-ministry work founded by Charles and Roberta Selby in 1947. Lloyd served first as Operations Director, then Executive Director upon Charles and Roberta’s retirement to the U.S. Lloyd lived and worked 20 years in the Philippines and 10 years in the U.S. to support the mission. By God’s gracious blessing, Lloyd’s work produced significant achievements in the growth of God’s work in the Cagayan Valley, Philippines. A funeral service to be held at 11 a.m. Friday February 18, 2022 at Worthington Christian Church, 8145 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43235 with Tom Sherrod, Care Minister, officiating. Family will receive friends in a light reception following the service. Inurnment with full military honors will be held in June 2022 (Family only); Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, OH 45428.
