Darrell J Mayer, Age 63, of Westerville OH, Passed away on September 6th, 2021 at Mount Carmel St Ann’s Hospital in Westerville OH. He was born to Edmund (Ed) and Arleen Mayer of Mitchell SD on April 20th, 1958. He was a high school graduate, class of 1977 from Westerville North High School. He then enlisted into The United States Marine Corps on July, 1st, 1977. He was honorably discharged after his four years of service on March 13th, 1981. He then was in the reserves from March 13th, 1981 to December 5th, 1982. He retired from his job of 30 years working for Franklin county in 2018. Darrell was a member of the Church Of The Ascension and the choir in Johnstown OH. He loved spending time with family and friends. He attended church every Sunday and choir practices every Thursday. He enjoyed fishing, small trips and Nascar racing. He is survived by his father, Edmund of Mitchell SD, Son, Brandon and Spouse of Reynoldsburg OH, Daughter, Elizabeth (Libbi) and Spouse of Westerville OH ; Grandsons, Kayden and Braxton. Brothers, David, Glen, Timothy and Sister Charlene. He was proceeded in Death by his mother Arleen Mayer. A catholic mass/service will be held on September 17, 2021 at 10:30 am at The Church Of The Ascensions followed by a private burial for immediate family only.
