Daniel Richard Howell, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on December 2nd, 2021 at the age of 77 in Westerville, Ohio. He battled major medical conditions including cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease in recent years with courage, strength, and grace, while always keeping an infectious smile, loving heart, and faith in God. Dan is survived by his beautiful wife and high school sweetheart Memory; they were married for 55 years. He was a proud father, father-in-law, and grandfather to his son Timothy (Melanie) Howell, daughter Gabriella (Jay) Testa, his fur child Jazzy, and granddaughters Emma and Abigail Howell. Dan was born on June 30th, 1944 in Lafayette, Indiana and was a longtime resident of Lewis Center, Ohio. He was a successful salesman that achieved a position as national sales manager for several large corporations in the food industry before embracing his entrepreneurial spirit and starting his own successful meat distribution business. Dan had a seemingly inexhaustible work ethic and a passion for his profession and the people in his industry. When not working or spending time with his family, he could often be found working in his lawn on his beloved Kubota tractor wearing his favorite Notre Dame t-shirt. He absolutely loved people, being social, and dancing. His kind heart and contagious sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family will receive friends on Sunday December 12, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL 450 W. Olentangy Street Powell, Ohio 43065. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 10:30 AM at ST. JOAN OF ARC CHURCH 10700 Liberty Road Powell, Ohio 43065 with Father James Black as Celebrant.
