Dana Rae Smith

August 10, 1957 - January 28, 2021

Dana Rae Smith, 63, of Dublin, Ohio passed away January 28, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born August 10, 1957 in South Bend, Indiana. She married Douglas Smith on July 18, 1981 in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from The Ohio State University and was a lifelong Buckeye. Dana absolutely loved being with her family and friends, whether it was in her home or on vacation, it is what she cherished most. She loved unconditionally and would drop everything to help anyone at a moment’s notice. Dana truly lived life to the fullest. She was a member of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church and was extremely active in her community. Dana’s laugh was infectious, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Douglas Smith, daughter, Natalie Smith, daughter Chelsea (Kevin) Humphries, son, Dustin (Alexa) Smith, grandchildren, Jack, Sophia, and Audrey Humphries, and Leo and Cooper Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Lucille Skinner, her in-laws, Bob and Marcia Smith, her Aunt Mil and Uncle Jack Carey, her nephew Andrew Schilling, and her great-nephew, Cole Smith. Visitation will be February 10, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Rutherford Funeral Home in Powell, Ohio. There will be a funeral mass held at 11:00 AM on February 11, 2021 at St. Brigid of Kildare in Dublin, Ohio; live stream will be available by visiting https://stbrigidofkildare.org/.
