C. Louise Cramer Kafer, Ph.D., 98, formerly of Upper Arlington passed away peacefully on May 10, 2021. She was a graduate of South High School, Capital University, Bowling Green State University and The Ohio State University. Sixty years of her life was devoted to education serving as teacher, principal, supervisor of student teachers, career counselor, and reading intervention specialist. She taught in Grandview, Upper Arlington, and The Ohio State University. Louise was a member of First Community Church and neighborhood bridge groups. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Clara Cramer, brothers Edward and Richard Cramer, and husband Kenneth Kafer. She is survived by her son Kim (Cindy) Kafer, daughters Kaye (Owen) Keller, Karen Grannis, and six grandchildren; Katie (Robby) Johnson, Kevin (Sara) Kafer, Elizabeth (Tim) Anna, Rebecca (Cody) Krupp, Logan Grannis, Connor (Courtney) Grannis, and five great grandchildren. The family would also like to thank Lisa Best from Ohio Health Hospice, and the staff at Friendship Village of Dublin for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Macular Degeneration Association (5969 Cattleridge Blvd. Suite 100, Sarasota, FL 34232), Ohio Health Hospice (800 McConnell Dr., Columbus, OH 43214), First Community Church (1320 Cambridge Blvd, Columbus, OH 43212), or a charity of your choice.
