Wilbur H. "Bill" Weaver

Wilbur H. “Bill” Weaver, age 86, of Powell, Ohio, died Thursday, October 16, 2015 at Riverside Hospital. Born in Columbus to the late Hubert C. and Maybelle Weaver, Bill was a graduate of Columbus North High School, Class of 1947 and attended The Ohio State University. He was a 46-year journeyman pressman with the Columbus Dispatch before retiring in 1993. Bill was an avid trap shooter and was a founding member of Black Wing Gun Club. He enjoyed teaching others how to shoot. He was also an avid photographer and dedicated pet lover. He loved his Newfies Metro and Ebby and all of his other dogs and cats he had over the years. Bill’s favorite places were British Columbia and Lake of the Woods, Ontario, Canada where he loved to fish and vacation with his family. He was a former member of the Sons of the American Revolution. Bill enjoyed volunteering and helping others. He was a great friend who was always willing to lend a helping hand. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Weaver, his sister Margaret W. Schifter and his brother-in-law Erich Schifter. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Barbara R. Weaver, his daughter Kathi Weaver, sister and brother-in-law Patti and Bob Stafford, his niece Stephanie Stafford, great-niece Delaney Roush, nieces and nephews Rick Schifter, Trudi Schifter, Scott Schifter, Susan Schifter and Steven Schifter, his former son-in-law David Pavlechko and his many loyal, wonderful friends.
