Sally Glover

Sally Ann (Ballard) Glover, 79, of Lewis Center, Ohio, passed away on June 4, 2026, at Riverside Methodist Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on June 3, 2026. Sally was born on March 3, 1947, in Delaware, Ohio, to Bernard and Thelma Marshall Ballard. She grew up on the family farm alongside her older brother, Larry, and younger sister, Jodi. Some of her fondest childhood memories were made spending time down the road with her beloved Ballard grandparents and taking trips to Sandusky to visit her cherished Marshall grandparents. She was a 1965 graduate of Richwood High School. Over the years, she worked as a bank teller, at TLG Electronics, and as a dental assistant for Dr. Pardi in Worthington. Sally's greatest joy came from her family. She was first married to Jim Mitchell, with whom she welcomed her daughter, Marty. She later married Pete Cheney, and together they had a son, Roderick. In 1984, she married Tom Glover who passed away in 2002. For the past twenty years, Sally shared her life with her devoted companion, Craig Wathen. Sally will be remembered for her kindness, her love of family, and the warmth she extended to those around her. She treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Marty Mitchell Herron of California; her son, Roderick Cheney of Georgia; and her beloved grandchildren, Audrey Herron, Ian Herron, Caroline Cheney, and Cassidy Cheney. She is also survived by Craig Wathen; his children, Kelsey Bryant (Rob) and JT Wathen; and his grandchildren, Regan, Grant, and Madison. Additional survivors include her sister, Jodi (Leo) Skinner of Coumbus, and their children, Marshall (Kendyl) Skinner and Kyle Skinner; her brother, Larry (Joy) Ballard of Marysville, and his children, Jeff (Jacquie) Ballard, Julie Mattocks, and Jodi (Scott) Bailey. Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, Worthington, Ohio 43085. Following the service, friends and family will gather at J. Gilbert’s, 1 E Campus View Blvd, Columbus, Ohio 43235, 4-6 P.M. for fellowship.
