Rosella A. Holly

Rosella A. Holly, age 78, of Columbus and formerly of Powell, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her companion Bus Hughes, her parents Tom and Thelma Calvert, sisters Roberta Johnston, Ruth Lassiter and Edith Huck. Rosella is survived by her children: Julie Holly, of Columbus, Brett (Jennifer) Holly, of Palm Bay, FL, Wendy (Phil) Rider, of Marysville and Liz (Joe) LaBute, of Liberty Township; grandchildren: Spc. Kyle (Vanessa) Holly, of Port St. Lucie, FL, Cole Holly and Shayne Reese, both of Palm Bay, FL, Stacey(Kyle) Reigle, of Marysville, Andy (fiancé, Alicia Mantz) Compton, of Powell, Patrick LaBute, of Huber Heights, OH and Joey LaBute, of Columbus; brother Tom (Patti) Calvert, of Lebanon, OH; sister Kathleen Golden, of Ruskin, FL; brother-in-law Paul Huck, of Leesburg, FL; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Rosella was an Administrative Assistant at Riverside Methodist Hospital for nearly 30 years before her retirement. She was a member of Powell UMC where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School for many years. Currently she was a member of Maize Manor UMC where she sang in the choir. She was a member of Twig #281 and served on many of their committees, Treasurer of the Savannah Estates Garden Club, a former member of the Sweet Adelines of Delaware County and was an active volunteer for many community events around the Columbus area. She taught line dancing and belonged to dance groups in Grandview and Worthington. But Rosella’s most important role was Mom and Gramma! Family will receive friends from 2:00-6:00pm.
