Ronald L. Rush

Ronald L. Rush, 35, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014. Ronald was born to Annette (Rush) Kirtley in Columbus, Ohio on January 10, 1979. He was preceded in death by Great-Grandmother Frances Bright and brothers Charles Levings and James Ryan Rush. He lived in Columbus, Ohio with his loving partner of 14 year, Shaun (Straten) Rush. A graduate of Rutherford B. Hayes High School, he was an employee of Thirtyacre Towing in Orient, Oh. Ronald had the biggest heart and loved to laugh with his friends and family. He enjoyed cookouts, vacationing, playing cards, games, and watching movies with Shaun and his Nieces Jerrica Medley (15), Savonna Medley (14), Sumara Medley (12) and nephew Izaiah Medley (11) that he had custody of since November 2011. One of the things he was most proud of was making the varsity volleyball team at Hayes, during that time he helped win many tournaments. Recently he was very proud with the birth of his niece Avery Marie Cummings; it was a very special event in his life. He helped those that needed food, shelter, vehicles, repairs (house or car) and was always willing to give the shirt off his back if asked. He always saw the best in people and tried to lift up everyone around him. Ronald is survived by mother and step-father Annette & Keith Kirtley, Grandfather Clifford "LeRoy" Rush of Delaware, OH, Grandmother Emma Berndsen of Waldo, OH, sisters Amber Price Cummings (Burton) of Canal Winchester, OH, Perchell Medley Jackson (LeJay) of Fort Myers, FL, Kylia Levings (Phillip Moore) of Columbus, OH, brothers Ramon Medley (Anika) of Columbus, OH, Damon Medley (Kendra) of Columbus, OH, step brother Michael Reisinger (Caroline) of Delaware, OH and extended family, mother in law Christine Straten of Columbus, OH, sisters in law Betty Herman (Louie) of Columbus, OH, Belva Lieb of Reynoldsburg, OH, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
