Rocky R. Seabolt

Rocky R. Seabolt, 62, of Columbus, went into to the arms of his loving Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 29, 2012. He was born in Clendennin, West Virginia. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jean Jarvis; stepfather, Kenneth Jarvis; two brothers, Joe and Butch Seabolt, and his grandmother, Irene Hanson. Rocky is survived by his adoring wife Deborah Seabolt; two daughters, Roxanne and Sonie; son, Mike; stepson, Mike Edens; 7 grandchildren; three sisters, Ima Jean Gill, Kay DeLauder, Elizabeth Seabolt, extended family members (nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins), his in-law family and many friends. Rocky loved the Lord with all his heart and could be found reading & studying his Bible daily. He regularly attended church and was a devoted Christian who practiced what he believed in his daily life. His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” He was a devoted husband to Deborah, his wife of 17 years, a loving father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed being outdoors where he'd fish and camp, or ride his bicycle. Rocky was much loved and will be missed greatly by all who knew and were touched by him. Special thanks to his aunt, Faye Lancaster, and friends, Ken, Paula & Jayden. Family and friends may call from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the RUTHERFORD-SHROYER FUNERAL HOME, 1278 West Broad Street, where a Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. All Is Well Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without affect, without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same that it ever was. There is absolutely unbroken continuity. Why should I be out mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well.
