Patricia Morganski Petry, 82 of Westerville went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and beloved husband Robert Bruce Petry Tuesday May 7th 2024. Patricia passed unexpectedly and peacefully at home surrounded by her loving children, her ‘earthly and eternal treasures’. Patricia was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Born 10 June 1942 in Chicago, Illinois and spent her youth there before moving to Columbus, Ohio in 1953. She attended the Ohio State University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. She married her sweetheart Robert ‘Bob’ Petry on 14 April 1964 while on vacation in Waycross, GA. They spent 44 happy years making memories and raised 6 loving children along the way. Patricia was a fantastic mother: her kids would say ‘the best’. She imbued each of her children with a love of God and people. She exuded kindness, caring, and deep affection for others. Continually inquisitive and with a rare flare for the dramatic she was the spark that inspired and the gravity that grounded her family. Her absence from us is felt profoundly but her example and beautiful essence has been woven into the very fabric of our souls. If there is any good in us there is no question where it comes from. Patricia is preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Petry, parents William and Anne (Kaminski) Morganski, Clarence and Elsie (Peck) Petry, beloved sister Maryanne Hanley, adored and devoted daughter-in–law Michaela ‘Kala’(Osborne) Petry. Patricia is survived by her adoring children: Elisa Claire (Jeff) Higdon, Robert (Carrie) Petry, Jonathan Petry, David (Bobbi) Petry Charlotte Petry and Daniel (Melissa) Petry as well and her loving brother Paul (Carol) Morganski, and cherished sister Carol Irene Morganski. Her memory also lives on in her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews Danielle Marie, April, Madeline, Taylor, Alania, Abigail, Madison, Ethan, Isabella, Riley, Sophia, and Alexander. Bonus grandchildren: Airielle Dotson, Gabrielle Dotson, Brett Dotson, Skyla Nelson and Briar Nelson.Nephews and nieces Paul Michael (Elaine) Morganski, Karyn (John) Heystee, Teal Holland, Jaycee Holland, Ricky (Nikki) Heystee, Matthew Morganski, Macy Morganski, Molly DuBose, Hunter Young, Willow DuBose, Leif Holland and eagerly anticipated baby girl Heystee, amongst many others. Arrangements entrusted to Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home 515 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. Funeral to be held Wednesday May 15th 2024: 10am visitation 11am service with internment at Union Cemetery.
