Pamela Elaine Ellis

Pamela Elaine Ellis, age 74, of Columbus, OH, passed away unexpectedly, May 28, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Pam, who now walks with her Lord and Savior, was born November 25, 1949, in Portsmouth, OH. She is preceded in death by her parents, Garnet (Hazelbaker) and Ernest T. Ellis; brother, Arthur “Bud” Ellis; brother, Bob Ellis; sister, Shirley Maynard; sister, Donna Engle; brother, Ed Ellis; and twin brothers, Ronald Ellis and Donald Ellis; niece, Patricia Pauley; nephew, Richard Engle. Pam is survived by her wife of almost 30 years, Annette McClure, nieces and nephews, Ernie (and Deb) Engle, Ester Collier, Barb Bachus, Brenda Hutchinson, Burl Maynard; great nieces and nephews, Julie (and Wes) Johnston, Missy Ramsey, Joey Pauley, Nicholas Pauley, Christopher Pauley, Anthony Maynard, Cindy Carver, Jamie Newman, Lonnie Maynard, Jack Bachus, Dawn, Ricky Hutchison, Jennifer Maynard, Katie; great-great nieces and nephews, Tyler Johnston, Jeorgia Johnston, Lucille Johnston, Madden Sweeny; life-long best friends, Malinda Brannon and Julia Chapman; brother-in-law, Frank McClure; and many cousins and dear friends. Pam was a retired registered nurse, having worked at Lifeline Vascular Access, DaVita and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She was a proud graduate of Columbus State Community College and Lakewood High School in Hebron, OH. Pam was a natural caregiver and a joy to all her patients. Pam retired in 2013 to begin her second act. During retirement she enjoyed many, many things including traveling, camping, boating, swimming, and sporting events and activities of nieces and nephews. Pam was a four-time cancer survivor. In spite of the many serious medical diagnoses (especially the past five years), Pam’s determination to live life to the fullest was fierce. To describe Pam in one word, it would be FUN. She enjoyed every minute with family and friends. If you knew Pam you know she saw the world in full color, it was beautiful and full of adventures. Friends can visit with the family from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2024, followed by funeral service at 4 p.m., with Connie Johnston officiating, at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, OH 43085. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
