Nancy Lee Roberts

ROBERTS Nancy Lee Roberts, born October 25, 1928, age 86, Columbus Ohio, passed on to heaven on March 3, 2015, surrounded by her children. She lived a courageous and faith-filled life and accepted death with the same strong courage and faith. Born in Dayton, Ohio, Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Zelma Spitler; her daughter, Patricia Carol Roberts; her sister, JoAnn Hall, and brother Jim Spitler. Nancy was survived by her seven other children Mary Ann "Mimi" Roberts (Jim) of Powell, Ohio; Diane Elizabeth “Dede” O'Brien (Bob) of Phoenix, Arizona; Andrew James Roberts (Kim) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Matthew John Roberts (Sharon) of Atlanta, Georgia; Thomas Courtney Roberts of Cincinnati, Ohio; Michael Anthony Roberts (Melanie) of Cincinnati, Ohio; James Evans Roberts (Cindy) of Worthington, Ohio. Nancy is also survived by eighteen grandchildren: Courtney Allen (Ross), Kevin O'Brien (Anna), Caitlin daSilva (Nick), Michael O'Brien, Annielaurie, MacGregor, Caroline, Callie, Caleb, Abby, Leigh, Luke, Logan, Katie, Liam, Bradley, Jake and Ellie Roberts. Nancy is also survived by five great-grandchildren Reagan Allen, Ella Allen, Jaxton Allen, Caleb O'Brien, Jase daSilva. Nancy is also survived by her dear brother-in-law, Phillip Hall, of Upper Arlington, Ohio; life-long friend and sister-in-law, Sr. Agnes Ann "Aunt Bubbles" Roberts of South Bend, Indiana; twelve nieces and nephews; and many friends. Nancy was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and The Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins and attended The Ohio State University. She worked for many years as an Opthalmic Technician in both Cincinnati and Columbus. She was a long time member of St. Timothy's Parish in Columbus, Ohio. Nancy dearly loved her entire family and devoted her entire life to them. A funeral mass is to be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 10 am at St. Timothy Parish in Columbus, Ohio, Fr. Timothy Hayes officiating, followed by a burial service at Resurrection Cemetery in Lewis Center, Ohio. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, March 6, 2015, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home 515 High St., Worthington, Ohio 43085. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Nancy’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
