Morgan Marie Wallace

Morgan Marie Wallace, 24, of Delaware, Ohio, was called to be with our Lord in Heaven on June 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 22, 1999 in Derry, New Hampshire, where she lived the first six years of her life. Her family then moved to Stevens Point, Wisconsin for 8 years where she was near her paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and spent many weekends with them at Shawano Lake before moving to central Ohio, to be near her maternal grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins. While born with disabilities, God blessed her with a feisty and high-spirited personality that allowed her to make her likes and dislikes known and the ability to rough-house with the best of them. She brought many smiles to those around her. Morgan especially enjoyed dangling her colorful ribbons, listening to songs from her favorite movies, being sung to on her birthday, and finding a sunny spot in the house to bask in the warmth of the sun. Morgan won the hearts of all who met her especially the countless therapists, teachers, and caregivers who made a significant impact on her life. Most recently, she attended DreamShine at Autumn Lakes in Sunbury, Ohio, where she participated in various activities and community outings with her peers and staff. She enjoyed living on her own with caregivers at her residence in Delaware, Ohio. Morgan is survived by her loving parents, Susan Weir Wallace of Powell, Ohio and Mark (Nicole) Wallace of Hanover, Pennsylvania; her sister, Madison Wallace and brother, Zachary Wallace; paternal grandparents, Rita and Jerry Wallace of Appleton, Wisconsin; maternal grandmother, Ruth Weir of New Washington, Ohio and many aunts, uncles, cousins and two step siblings. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Richard Weir; aunt, Jacqueline Weir and aunt and godmother, Tammee Wallace. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell in Powell, Ohio on Tuesday, June 13. Receiving guests at 10:00 a.m. with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow at Scioto Reserve Country Club. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Autism Speaks and/or Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio.
