Molly S. Ellison

Molly S. Ellison, 92, passed into God’s loving arms on Sunday November 30, 2008 at Whetstone Gardens and Care Center. Molly enriched our lives for 92 years. Born on April 15, 1916 in Columbus, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Otto and Kathryn (Whitsel) Scheeler. She was cherished and deeply loved by Dr. Edwin H. Ellison (deceased). A graduate of West High School, she was a devoted physician’s wife, mother and grandmother. Later in life she was an executive assistant in the banking industry. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her loving son, Dr. E. Christopher Ellison and daughter-in-law, Dr. Mary Pat Borgess, her sister Anna (Scheeler) Menard and brother-in-law Leon Menard of Somerset, Massachusetts, and her loving grandchildren Dr. Jonathan S. Ellison and his wife Hillary Dorwart, Ann Arbor, Michigan and Eric C. Ellison, Chicago, Illinois and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Dr. Edwin H. Ellison whom she cherished and her loving brother, John Daniel Scheeler and sister-in-law Dorothy M. (Goldhardt) Scheeler, her caring sister Clairebel (Scheeler) Bond and brother-in-law James E. Bond and many dear friends. She was known as a caring and fun loving person. She loved hats, scarves, parties, classical music and in later years talk radio. She was outspoken, pragmatic and forthright in her convictions. The “unsinkable” Molly enjoyed life to the fullest. “To laugh often and much…to leave the world a bit better…to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson). Molly Ellison succeeded. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008 with visitation one hour prior to service time at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy St. (Powell Rd./S.R. 750/1/4 mile east of Sawmill Pkwy) Powell, OH 43065. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Molly’s name to the E.
