In Loving Memory of Lynne Marie Waldron April 17, 1954 – June 27, 2026 Some people make the world a better place simply by being in it, and Lynne Marie Waldron was one of those people. Her kindness, generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Lynne passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, at the age of 72 while residing at Dublin Retirement Village. Born on April 17, 1954, Lynne lived a life defined by love, generosity, strength, and service. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, her community, and everyone fortunate enough to know her. Whether she was offering a helping hand, sharing words of encouragement, or simply showing up when someone needed her, Lynne had a remarkable way of making people feel loved. Lynne was the beloved daughter of the late Dennis and Mary Strouse and was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Katherine Waldron. Although losing Katie was one of the greatest heartbreaks of her life, Lynne lovingly stepped in to help raise Katie's children, surrounding them with the same unconditional love, guidance, and support that she gave so freely to everyone around her. She is survived by her devoted husband of many years, William Waldron; her loving children, Christina (Abram) Cookson, Jennifer (Josh) Wood; her treasured grandchildren, Alexandria (Evelyn) McBride, Haley, Ethan, Kevin, Elijah, Austin, Savannah, Peyton, and Caden. She is also survived by her brother, Rob (Jennifer) Strouse, along with many extended family members, dear friends, and countless people whose lives were enriched by knowing her. Lynne is preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine Waldron; her brother David Strouse; her parents, Dennis and Mary Strouse; and her grandchild, Lydia Cookson. Lynne earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and built a career that reflected her intelligence, dedication, and perseverance. She spent many years at Delphi, where she earned her Six Sigma Black Belt certification and became known for her leadership, problem-solving skills, and commitment to excellence. She concluded her career at Avnet, continuing to apply her knowledge, mentor others, and approach every challenge with professionalism and integrity. Lynne took great pride in her work and the lasting relationships she built throughout her career. Her commitment to serving others extended far beyond the workplace. She was an active member of the Society of Women Engineers, generously supported the Women's Care Center, served as President of the Dublin Soccer League, coached countless young athletes, volunteered with Girl Scouts, enjoyed many years of Jazzercise, and proudly served on her workplace Fire Brigade. She believed that giving back wasn't something you made time for—it was simply a way of life. Above all, Lynne's greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, whether cheering them on from the sidelines, celebrating milestones, or creating special memories together. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, and she never hesitated to put the needs of others before her own. Those who knew Lynne will remember her for her quiet strength, unwavering faith, generous heart, and the countless ways she showed her love through acts of kindness. She led by example, teaching those around her the importance of compassion, resilience, and always putting family first. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and in the family she loved so deeply. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lynne's life on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow the service, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Lynne's remarkable life.
