Kenneth W. Nally, Sr.

Kenneth W. Nally, Sr. was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 29,1941 to Mary Lou and Hubert Nally. He passed away of natural causes on February 19, 2023. He attended Scecina Memorial High School and Marian College before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1960. He served as a Military Police Officer for his six years in the service. Upon returning home he reconnected with his college sweetheart, Betty, whom he married October 19, 1963. Together they had 5 children Kenneth Jr. (Kim) Nally, Deborah (Todd) Saltus, Kevin Nally, Laura Nally, and Kim Coyne. He has 19 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother. He was preceded in death by his older brother David. He is succeeded by 2 brothers, Buddy and Johnny, and 3 sisters Luann, Donna and Barbara. Ken spent his life being there for his children and grandchildren whether as a mentor or cheering them on as a coach or fan. He was always on the sidelines at football, basketball, track, swimming, soccer, baseball or lacrosse events adding humor and laughter for those around him. Ken thoroughly enjoyed the family poker games with his parents. As they aged, he made weekly trips to Indianapolis to provide support for them. Additionally, to assist with his mother and father in-law’s health concerns, he unhesitatingly made room in his home for Edith and Paul Joyal. He loved to travel and truly enjoyed golfing with friends, coworkers and sons on Saturday mornings. Growing up in Indiana he became a lifelong fan of Notre Dame where he attended retreats and football games whenever possible. He would read the Blue and Gold publication cover-to-cover during football season. In 1963, Ken went to work for Commercial Credit in Indianapolis. He was transferred to Ohio and promoted through 42 years with City Loan and Savings. Whether as Marketing Manager, Supervisor, or Branch Manager he truly tried to assist people with their finances while bringing humor and laughter to their lives. He attended mass and Eucharistic Adoration weekly for many years at St. Joan of Arc Church on Liberty Rd. in Powell, Ohio. Visiting hours will be held there from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the narthex immediately followed by a Requiem Mass on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Lewis Center, Ohio. Kenny will be truly missed by all. .
