John F. Rogers

John F. Rogers, age 83, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 16, 2015. Born in Columbus to the late John and Filomena Rogers, John was a graduate of Thomas Aquinas High School and attended The Ohio State University. John was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed with, and retired from, the truck leasing industry his entire career. A well-traveled Buckeye fan, John attended most home games and many away games and bowl games. He loved to golf and was a founding member of Riviera Country Club. He was also a long-time member of the American-Italian Golf Association and the Agonis Club. John and his wife Sharon were faithful parishioners of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Filomena Rogers. He is survived by his wife of nearly 41 years, Sharon Rogers; his children, Laura (Brad) Hance of Westerville, OH, Doug (Kelly Russo) Rogers of Westerville, Kenny Rogers of Cape Coral, FL and Cami (Tom) Parker of Lewis Center, OH; his grandchildren, Lindsey Hance, Allison (Doug) Redinger, and Courtney, Andrew, Matthew, Nathan and Emily Parker; his great-grandson, Griffin Redinger; brothers and sisters, Mary Canini of Westerville, Emilio Rogers of Columbus, Anthony (Sonja) Rogers of Norcross, GA and Norma (Terry) Tolbert of Akron, OH, and their families; his many friends; and his faithful canine protector Lilo.
