Geraldine Elizabeth McCormack

God wrapped his arms around his faithful servant, Jerry McCormack, and carried her to her eternal home on October 15, 2023. Jerry was born to Alice Viola and Jacob Michael Paul Kugele on July 26, 1931 in Cincinnati. She graduated from Western Hills High School in 1949. Following graduation she married her love James H McCormack on July 30, 1949. During their 64 year marriage she was his supportive wife as he served as a Methodist Minister, District Superintendent, and Treasurer for the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Jerry loved her church and her family, especially her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was happiest preparing delicious meals and desserts for our family gatherings. From ham loaf to carrot cake, pumpkin cookies to her Christmas sugar cookies and cereal snack, all were lovingly prepared. As family matriarch she kept the family connected by sending cards for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, loving support and condolences plus remembering the Friend of the Week at her church. Jerry is survived by her four children, Pam (Darrell) Chevalier of Pataskala, David (Teresa) of Lewis Center, Scott (Sandy) of Westerville, and Jill (Karl) Oberer of Sandusky; 13 grandchildren Matthew (Melissa), Kerri (Joe), Amanda (Jonathan), Beth (Dan), Brett, Jason (Sarah), Jen (Ethan), Ashley (Ben), Brittany (Derek), Katie (Mike), Daniel (Stephanie), David (Gabrielle), Liz (Austin); and 19 great grandchildren Colin, Mason, Jacob, Makayla, Nicholas, Emalene, Cole, Drew, Hunter, Alleigh, Will, Owen, Madison, Peyton, Jaxon, Savannah, Sawyer, Lucas, and Harper. She has many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Paramount Care Facility and Promedica Hospice nurses for their loving care. Besides her parents, Jerry was preceded in death by her husband, infant son James H. McCormack III, her sister Marian Phelps, and brother Jack Kugele.
