George Fink

George Fink, age 90, died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Crown Pointe Care Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Juneau, PA, to parents Michael and Mary Finkovyak and raised in McIntyre, PA, where he graduated from Elders Ridge H.S. He enlisted and proudly served with the U.S. Navy and though commissioned on many ships his most memorable was the USS Quincy. After military service, George moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he met and married his loving wife of 58 years, Eleanor (nee Kish). He had a long successful career in sales and service for Addressograph-Multigraph Corp. and they lived in Parma, OH for 30 years. He retired to Spring Hill, Florida where he and Eleanor enjoyed 14 years of warm weather and golf before moving to Dublin, Ohio to be with family. George was an active member of the VFW and the Elks and continued to golf and play pinochle until his later years. In Dublin, he was thrilled to be an annual participant in the Veteran’s Day Parade and also was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. George is survived by daughter, Deborah (Franklin) Lowery, M.D. and grandson, Christopher Stahl, of Dublin, OH, sister Margie Clark of Brooksville, FL, sister-in-law Carmella Fink of Detroit, Ml, as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and infant son, David Michael, as well as brothers Michael, John and Joseph, and sisters Katherine, Sophie, Mary, Anne and Helen. Visitation will be held on SATURDAY, December 8, 2012 from 10:00AM to 12noon at PRINCE OF PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5475 Brand Road, Dublin, OH 43017 with the funeral service to follow at 12 noon, the Rev. John D. Morris officiating. Burial will follow at the Dublin Cemetery. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the caregivers at Crown Pointe and HomeReach Hospice.
