Eva D. Rossi

Eva D. Rossi, 90, of Columbus, OH, died peacefully, November 22, 2022. Devoted wife of Paul J. Rossi (deceased), daughter of Albert and Mary Gilman (both deceased), with loving brothers and sisters (all deceased), and grandchildren Vince Rossi (deceased), and Mitch Rossi (deceased). Survived by daughter Paula (Dan) Melaragno, and sons Mitch (Jeanette) Rossi, Chris Rossi, Tim (Mary) Rossi, Shawn Rossi, Matt (Tina) Rossi, and Todd Rossi. Grandchildren Amy Rossi, Grant Rossi, Danielle (Kevin) Escolas, Luke Rossi, Erin Rossi, Katelyn (Ellie Haubner) Rossi, Sarah (Cameron) Hall, Renee (Paul Lacroix) Rossi, Gina Rossi, Sam (Lexi) Rossi, Ben Rossi, Matt Rossi, Jake Rossi, Jamie (Talia) Rossi, Leah (Ryan Blankenship) Rossi, Holley Rossi, Taylor Rossi, Skylar Rossi, Paul Rossi, and Dillan Rossi, and multiples nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. Born in West Virginia, Eva spent most of her life in Columbus, OH, raising their children, and later some brief stops around the country, including Texas, New York, Arizona, Missouri, Florida, and, her favorite, a cabin in the hills in Ellijay, GA. The last 20 years, she lived in Grove City, OH. She loved her church community, and her condo neighbors, and frequently made margaritas for their pool party. As her health failed, her friends were there whenever she needed. Her entire life, she loved to spend time in the sun, preferably with friends and a cold drink. An avid walker, she was averaging about 5 miles a day until she was about 85 years old. Fiercely independent, she lived alone in her own home until almost 88 years old. She reluctantly moved to assisted living, at Abbington in Powell, the last 18 months of her life, and came to love the staff, who treated her like a queen. Capital City Hospice was very involved with her phenomenal care, came to know and love Eva very much, and were instrumental in preparing Eva for a peaceful death. We are greatly indebted. Visitation from 9:00 am to 10:00 am and Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, November 28 at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 5750 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio.
