Deorma "Dee" Jean (Andrews) Zuber

Deorma “Dee” Jean (Andrews) Zuber passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on July 18, 1941, in Parma, Ohio, to Henry Milton Andrews and Edna Georgene (Cook) Andrews, who predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, David Zuber. Dee is survived by her loving husband, Richard Zuber; her son, Daniel Zuber, and daughter-in-law, Laura Zuber; and her cherished grandchildren, Madelyn Zuber and Noah Zuber. Dee’s life was defined by love, service, and laughter. She was a proud graduate of Miami University, where she was an active member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Before marrying, Dee worked as a buyer at Dalton of American Department Store, where she developed a lasting passion for fashion and was known for her impeccable sense of style. Dee was deeply involved in the communities she called home, including Aurora, Ohio, and Dublin, Ohio. She contributed much of her time to civic efforts, such as raising funds for a community gazebo and supporting The Church in Aurora. Dee also remained actively engaged in the Alpha Chi Omega alumni association and PEO, two organizations she held dear. Above all, Dee cherished spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren, Madelyn and Noah, and treasured every moment with them. She was an avid bridge player and a talented cook who took great joy in preparing meals that brought people together. One of Dee’s greatest qualities was her ability to tell stories. Whether gathered around the kitchen table or at a community gathering, she had a gift for engaging others, and everyone who heard her stories has a favorite one (or two) they’ll remember. Dee’s vibrant energy and infectious spirit will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose kindness, generosity, and sense of humor touched the lives of many. A celebration of Dee’s life will be held on Saturday, May 24th at 1pm at Dublin Community Church, 81 W. Bridge St., Dublin, OH 43017, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dublin Food Pantry or Dublin Community Church - Minister’s Discretionary Fund.
