David Lee Kellogg

David Lee Kellogg 70, Passed away on February 5, 2023 after a long battle with FT Dementia and a recent fall incurring a compound Fracture of the L1 vertebrae. David was preceded in death by his Mother, Geneva Palmer Clover Kellogg (11/12/2017) Father, Arthur Leverett Kellogg (11/22/2019) and his sister Theresa Jean Kellogg (10/13/2013). David was the oldest of 5 children and is survived By siblings Marlyn Kaye Kellogg Bledsoe, Carolyn Anne Kellogg Nykerk.( Marc) and Dennis Dean Kellogg. David is survived by his wife of 50 years Kathye N. (Thompson) Kellogg, sons Sean Tommy Kellogg (Jenna) and Tavish Robert Kellogg (Noelle) and three grandchildren, Braeden Lawrence Kellogg, Mahaela Angel Kellogg and Trinity Hines. David grew up in Owosso Mi. where he attended Owosso SDA Church Elementary school, first grade thru 8th grade. Then he moved on to attend Adelphian Academy for high school. He met his wife during their senior year and they graduated in 1970. He moved to Columbus Ohio in 1971. David and Kathye were married in the Worthington SDA Church on 11/12/1972. They attended there until the Westerville SDA church was started .and they were charter members there. David's mother had worked with the Pathfinder youth club in his home church, teaching camping skills and nature classes. This was something David also had a passion for. While a member of the Westerville church he was instrumental in starting their own Pathfinder club camping and working with Polar Bear Camping. When their children started school they transferred their membership to the Eastwood SDA Church. At the Eastwood SDA Church he was active in the Pathfinder club and Polar club there as well. Later after their children were grown they moved their membership back to the Worthington SDA Church where they are currently members. Since their transfer of membership David's health has prevented them from being in church service regularly but they have enjoyed the online services. He said that even with his dementia he was actually able to follow the pastor in his sermons. There will be a memorial service at the Worthington SDA Church on Feb. 26. 2023 at 2pm.
