Connie Stockwell

Connie passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and pets on December 9th, 2024. She was born on September 8th, 1947, in Kenton, Ohio to John and Carolyn Mullins. She moved to Columbus in 1965 after high school to attend The Ohio State University. Connie was employed by The Ohio State University in business administration for 34 years until her retirement in 2006. Family was the most important thing to her and if you were blessed enough to be her friend she counted you as family as well. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren; they were her favorite topic to discuss with anyone whether they asked or not. She had many strong opinions but didn’t have an ounce of judgement in her. She was the life of the party with the best and quirkiest sense of humor, she could make even the stoic of souls laugh. To know her was to love her. She enjoyed singing Irish songs, loved all instruments and music, listening to her husband play the banjo, playing Euchre, board games and genealogy charts. On Saturdays she loved cheering on the Buckeyes, Sundays the Browns. Her favorite hobby and the thing she cherished most was family. Connie loved fiercely and if you hurt someone she cared for, she would not shy away from letting you know how she felt about it. Connie was the glue that kept everyone together from organizing family dinners to attending every event she could to show support. She was the biggest and best cheerleader you could ask for. She gave everyone the confidence boost or push they needed. She loved being involved in everyone’s life and kept up with family through daily calls, texts and every form of social media out there. She was so tech savy that even the younger generations would call her for help. She was often everyone’s first call for advice or in a crisis as she always knew what to say or do. She was a lover of all animals and was a powerful advocate for animal rescue. Connie is preceded in death by her parents John and Carolyn (Kaiser) Mullins. She is survived by her spouse Randy, her daughter’s Jenifer (Nick) and Heather. Grandchildren Ayden, Kylie, Betsy and Felicity. Sister Bonnie, nieces and nephews Nathan (Therese) Lance (Karol), Tiffany (Keith) and Kendra (Jake). Special cousin Susie and childhood friend Terrie Lenerz along with countless other family and friends. She leaves behind endless memories and stories to provide comfort to those who loved her during our times of sorrow.
