Clifford Andrew Cahill

Clifford Andrew Cahill, age 95, of Hilliard, Ohio went to Lord on Friday April 6, 2018 at his home. Cliff was born September 19, 1922 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William Henry and Jennie (Dague) Cahill-Carmen. Clifford graduated from Columbus Trade School with Electrician degree. His career included Volmer Electric on Front St. for 15 years, Columbus Plastics for 20 years, and property manager for Keny family. He served honorably in the US Army in the Pacific Theater as a Staff Sgt. The family would travel and spend time at fishing camps for vacations. Cliff’s hobbies were fishing, hunting, and wood working and supporting Marcella with her many hobbies and church projects. In retirement Clifford and Marcella moved to Hilliard. They traveled and were very active in Rhythm Reelers Western Square Dance Club for several years. Cliff is preceded in death by his wife Marcella, brothers William, Charles, and Maurice; and his grandson Benjamin Cahill. Cliff is survived by his children: Clifford (Sandra Pappas) Cahill of Columbus, David (Mary Helling) Cahill of Knoxville, TN, Mary (Gary) Campbell of Butler, Ohio, Martha (Bill) Lindemann of Hudson, Ohio and Patricia (Mel) Jones of Galloway; grandchildren, Theresa Cahill (Mike) Hinterscheid of Grove City, Christina Cahill (John) Suess of London, Ohio, John (Amy) Cahill of Marysville, Christopher (Gina) Cahill of Knoxville, Timothy (Lori) Cahill of Ghana, Michelle (Andy) Batt of Columbus, Patrick (Julie) Campbell of Medina, Robert (Jen) Campbell of Columbus, Kurtis (Presley) Lindemann of Loveland, Cherie Lindemann of Hudson, Phillip Jones of Galloway, Misty (Mike) Myers of Mt Sterling, and James (Kaylee) Jones of Mt Sterling; and nineteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday April 9, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the the Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell, 450 West Olentangy St. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Columbia Heights United Methodist Church, 775 South Galloway Road, Galloway, Ohio, with Rev. Nathan Custer officiating. Friends may contribute to the Alzheimer's Association Central Ohio 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215 in his memory.
