Bonnie DuPont

Bonnie (Fox) DuPont, age 90, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home on January 12, 2022. Bonnie was born in October of 1931. After growing up in Logan, Ohio, she met and married her loving husband Robert and they enjoyed 67 wonderful years together. Under Bonnie’s lead, they raised seven children together. Robert referred to her as “The Boss” and Bonnie made it her priority to ensure the family was always well cared for. Bonnie is survived by her brother, Steve Fox, her husband, Robert, their seven children: Denise (William) Kramer, Lisa (Denny) Fike, Robert Jr. (Susan) DuPont, Beth (Flip) Phillips, Gregory (Julia) DuPont, Jill (Christopher) Grimm, and Brian (Kelle) DuPont. Bonnie was a very proud grandma to 17 grandchildren: Alexandria (Matt) Foss, Melissa (Corey) Spilman, Eric, Thomas, and Jennifer Fike, Derek (Tessa) DuPont, Brock DuPont, Violet Phillips, Sophie DuPont, Grayson, and Sullivan Grimm, Holly, Shaun, Emily, Jacob, Riley, and Joshua DuPont. Bonnie was also recently blessed with three great-grandchildren; Finn Kramer, Ruxton, and Remy DuPont. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Jennie and James Fox, her brother John Fox, and her sister Mary Ellen Trowbridge. The legacy Bonnie leaves behind is strong. She lived a very full life enjoying time with her family around her locally as well as loving every moment of many great travel adventures across the United States and abroad. Traveling to Alaska, Hawaii, Russia, The Netherlands, The Baltic Countries, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Belgium, France, and many Caribbean islands were some of her favorites. Bonnie was also a master crafter who was always exploring new skills and perfecting them. She painted kiln-fired figurines, crocheted, quilted, created needlepoint art and weaving projects. She even enjoyed making her own gift cards for family and friends. She always had multiple projects in progress around the house. Bonnie shared her love of travel and art with her children and grandchildren. She gifted many of them with a vast appreciation for the arts and travel abroad. This legacy will live on through her descendants and continue to be shared with the world through them. A service will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 12:30 pm in the cemetery chapel at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery 9571 N. High Street, Route 23 North Lewis Center, Ohio 43035.
