Betty Blanche Moses (Young)

Betty Blanche (Young) Moses, age 90, of Worthington OH, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Wesley Glen Health Center in the company of her family. Preceded in death by her husband Raymond E. Moses Jr., parents Blanche Margaret (Parks) Young and William Herbert Young, brother, William Herbert Young Jr. Betty is survived by daughters, Raean (Timothy O.) Cavener, and Lorane Moses; son, Frederick C. (Sandra E.) Moses; grandchildren, Corinne L. (Robert W.) Adams, D. Benjamin (Sarah E.) Foust, Maxwell H., Mallory L., and Savannah R. Moses; three great- grandchildren; many other nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; also survived by brother and sisters, with whom she enjoyed a lifelong close relationship, Vinetta L. Bennett, Lynn E. (Elizabeth) Young, Carolyn M. (Harry S. dec'd) Robertson; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Young and Doris R. Moses. Betty was born April 20, 1923 in Ingomar, PA. Moved to Columbus, OH in 1942 and worked at Curtiss Wright Corp. of Columbus where she met her husband of 60 years. She supported him in the founding of Mooney & Moses of Ohio Inc., of which he was Co-Founder and CEO. Seventy-year member of Triangle Chapter #592 OES. Dedicated 60-year member of Broad Street Christian Church, where she served faithfully in many meaningful roles. A truly gifted vocalist, she will always be remembered for her singing, which she generously shared throughout her life. From Glee Clubs and mixed quartets, to trios with her sisters, and solos at church and by invitation, her beautiful soprano voice was a blessing to many. She shared her artistic skill through painting and many other creative avenues for personal enjoyment and countless charities. The atmosphere she created in her home with her husband was the centerpiece of family life and hospitality for many. Betty's joy in life was her family, whom she generously loved.
