Allen E. Sowash

Dear Dad, Thank goodness you were born to Paul and Pauline Sowash September 28th, 1929 and lived this incredible life. Your stories of your school days at Mansfield Senior High playing football, gymnastics, boxing at The Friendly House, all your shenanigans were priceless. Thank you for your courageous service in the United States Air Force during The Korean War. And your time attending college at O.S.U. made you a true Buckeye. Thank you for meeting and marrying my mom Joan Sunnucks, loving and taking care of her for 60 years. You taught me how to be a devoted and loving spouse to my husband Denny Montgomery. Thank you for being a brother to Mom's brothers Jim, Dave, Howard, Mike Sunnucks and sister, Sondra Leintenberger. Always keeping them and their spouses Harriet, Pat, Joan, Karen and Ken entertained with your wit and charm. Dad, you loved your nieces and nephews, and they loved their "Favorite Uncle Al" Most of all, thank you for being my dad. Supporting me with everything I did. Loving and nurturing me all my life, teaching me to feel safe and secure. Let's not forget hauling my friends and I all over town, not to mention your stories, jokes, back hand springs and of course the famous egg trick, keeping us laughing and definitely impressed. Thank you for not only loving me, but loving my husband, Denny, your grandkids Andy, Ally, Eryn Montgomery and Sara Walma, their spouses Nichole and Ken. I am so glad you got to love and enjoy the great grand children Carson, Madison, Willow, Alexandra and Coraline. They loved "Paw Paw.” Dad, your personality was larger than life, your good looks undeniable, your athleticism impressive, but your loving and giving heart is what Al Sowash was truly made of. Dad, the love I have for you can't be put into words. You are the best person I have ever known and I am proud to be your daughter. You are my hero.
