Martha A. "Marty" Dickson

A Life Well Lived: Remembering Martha A Dickson Martha A Dickson, age 84, went home to be with her Savior on April 28, 2014. Marty was surrounded by her loved ones, husband Ralph, and their children Diana, Michael, Todd and Beth as all of heaven rejoiced and welcomed her arrival! Marty was born on August 28, 1929, in Columbus, OH, the only child to William A and Orleta Loar. As a child she had a contagious smile and entertaining sense of humor. At the young age of 15, she met her sweetheart and husband of 64 years, Ralph D Dickson. The couple married on October 21, 1950. She and Ralph raised four dear children in Worthington, Ohio. She was a nurturing and loving mother, enjoying her children throughout their growing-up years. She was a proud mother of four children, grandmother to 12 children and great-grandmother to 14 children. Marty had an extraordinary way of making all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren feel loved and adored, unique and special. She always jumped at the chance to babysit! She was the best Grandma ever! She created so many lasting memories for her grandchildren, especially at holidays, which they are continuing as traditions in their families today! She left an unforgettable legacy to all these generations. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Marty treasured her family and friends. She loved entertaining, traveling, bible studies, water aerobics, making big breakfasts, jet skiing and relaxing at Indian Lake with her family and friends. During their retirement years, she and Ralph enjoyed their condo in Venice, Florida and her favorite activity was church services on the beach. She was always a light to others and never missed an opportunity to tell someone about Jesus. She was absolutely beautiful inside and out. Marty was a true woman of faith. She was vibrant, full of laughter, demonstrated unconditional love and exemplified joy in all circumstances. Her most precious relationship in life was with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and she was known for being a fervent prayer warrior. Her unceasing prayers were powerful and mighty, bringing hope and breakthrough to all the lives they touched. Marty and Ralph are very proud of each of their children and their families!
