Gregory William Keener

Gregory William Keener, 40, of Dublin, Ohio, was called to be with the Lord on February 28, 2014. Greg was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 13, 1973. He graduated from Swanton High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Toledo. Greg was happily married to his Junior High School sweetheart, Jennifer (DeCant) Keener on October 22, 2000. He was blessed with four wonderful children; Ava (8), Alex (6), and twins Alayna and Lyla (3). He was a devoted husband and father who cherished time with his family. Some of his greatest joys in life were cheering on his eldest daughter at gymnastics, spending his weekends traveling to competitions, completing home projects (where he was fondly referred to as "Chop-Chop"), and creating great meals in the kitchen. Greg loved life and truly had an uncanny way to make people laugh, even at his own expense. He was an all-around great guy and one you were proud to call a friend. Greg worked at Elford Inc. where he excelled as a Sr. Project Manager and many of his coworkers became friends. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer and their children; Ava, Alex, Lanie, and Lyla; parents, Milton and Shirley Keener of Swanton, Ohio; his sister, Connie (Randy) Bachman of Grand Rapids, Ohio; and brothers, Michael (Wendy) Keener of Maumee, Ohio, and Stephen (Amy) Keener of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. FRIDAY March 7, 2014 at ST, JOHN NEUMANN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 9633 Ohio 37 (St. Rt. 37) Sunbury, OH with The Reverend David Sizemore Celebrant. The family will receive guests at the church on THURSDAY, March 6, from 5 and 8 p.m. and again on FRIDAY, March 7, from 9 and 11 a.m. Mass will begin promptly at 11 a.m. with the procession to follow to Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High St, Lewis Center, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to a trust fund setup through Huntington Bank in support of their children's college fund.
