Obituary:
William “Bill” Beverly, age 83, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Riverside Hospital. Born in South Portsmouth, Kentucky to the late John and Sissie Beverly, Bill was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and five sisters. He was a veteran of the United States Army during WWII. Bill was a welder with General Motors for 33 years before his retirement in 1981. An avid gardener, he enjoyed growing his many orchids. Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Beverly; sons and daughters-in-law: Tim and Lois Beverly, of Columbus and Tom and Kim Beverly, of Johnstown; grandchildren: Jennifer (Shawn) Leonard, of Obetz; Jason (Andrea) Beverly, of Johnstown; Stephanie (fiancé, Mark Hall) Beverly, of Delaware; Katie Beverly, of Johnstown and Josh Beverly, of Johnstown; great-grandson: Cody Leonard; sister-in-law: Evelyn Beverly, of Aberdeen, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm. Monday at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, Ohio 43085 (614)-885-4006 where funeral services will be held 10:00am. Tuesday, September 15, 2009. (The funeral home is located on High St. 4 blocks south of SR 161.) Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
