Obituary:
Lillian Mae Baynton, age 90, of Powell, Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at St. Ann’s Hospital. Veteran US Army Air Force pilot during WWII, she also served in the American Red Cross with United States Armed Forces in India. Lillian was a Harmony Farms All Star Dairy executive, decorator, accomplished Artist and Seamstress, Equestrian, Manager of River Ridge, Twin Rivers and Heartland Horse Shows. She helped start the All American Youth Horse Show and The Great Ohio Saddlebred Pleasure Horse Association. She was Treasurer of Buckeye Beamers and much more. Lillian is survived by her daughters Marilyn and Fay; nieces and nephew: Lilly, Carol and Dave; and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held 7:00pm. Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME at POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., Powell, Ohio 43065 (614)-792-1471 with The Reverend Dr. Richard D. Ellsworth, officiating. Family will receive friends before the service from 4:00-7:00pm. (The funeral home is located on W. Olentangy St./Powell Rd./SR 750 ¼ mile east of Sawmill Parkway.) Private burial services will be observed by the family at Oller Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider memorial contributions in Lillian’s memory to: The Humane Society of Delaware County, 4920 State Route 37 East, Delaware, Ohio 43015 or a charity of your choice.
