Obituary:
Marlin William Fettrow, 94, died Friday June 12, 2009 at the Life Care Center of Hilton Head, SC following a short illness. He was born January 4, 1915 in Lemoyne, PA. Marlin was the son of the late Raymond and Grace (Sansome) Fettrow. He was married to the former Wilma Prose on 4/23/1943 who died on 3/29/2006. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving from 9/27/1940 to 9/24/1945. He was a member of American Legion Post 201 and was a very active 50 years plus member of the West Jefferson United Methodist Church. Survived by son Roger W. (Candi) Fettrow and several nephews. Preceded in death by brother Preston. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday June 18, 2009 at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME at POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St. (Powell Rd./St. Rt. 750/1/4 mile east of Sawmill Pkwy.), Powell, OH 43065 (614-792-1471) with 1 (one) hour visitation prior to the service. Rev. Patricia Oesterle officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, West Jefferson with full military honors. In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer?s Assn. of Central Ohio, 3380 Tremont Rd., Upper Arlington, OH 43221.
