Obituary:
Patrick R. Beck, age 76 was born August 28, 1932. Pat died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at his home in Dublin. He was a student at Indiana University and University of Notre Dame and was a proud graduate of Purdue University where he received his Bacholar's and Master's degrees. After retiring from Battelle Memorial Institute, Pat founded a consulting company, Worthington Associates. A Successful Chemical Engineer, businessman, and do-it-yourself-er, he fought a long and valiant battle against several illnesses—any one of which would have taken a less determined spirit long ago. He is preceded in death by a young sister in childhood, his parents while in his 30s, and his wife, Arlene, at 59. He will be missed by his loving companion, Norma Ullrich; cousin, Kathleen Romberg of Lake Forest, IL; and daughters, Linda Rudy of Dublin, Marianne Householder of Cincinnati, and Lorri Huntington of Dayton and their families, including his four grandchildren. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2009 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington where friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Sunday. Mark Householder, officiating. Burial: Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: National Kidney Foundation, 1373 Grandview Avenue, Suite 200, Columbus, OH 43212.
